El Grito was a massive success, thanks to you!


Thousands of people from Moreno Valley and beyond celebrated Mexican Independence Day and Hispanic Heritage Month on Thursday night at the beautiful Civic Center Amphitheater. The event featured amazing Ballet Folklórico dances, great food and local vendors, and incredible performances from Mariachi Cantares and Rocio la Dama de la Cumbia!

Mayor and City Council Welcome New Affordable Housing Community

On Wednesday, September 14, Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez and the Moreno Valley City Council cut the ribbon to officially open phase one of the Courtyards at Cottonwood affordable housing community. 


Courtyards at Cottonwood is an 81-unit gated community with 60 units set aside for lower-income families and 20 units reserved for lower-income seniors.


Amenities include a community room, a swimming pool, passive courtyard areas with benches and barbecues, an exercise course, and a community park with a basketball court.

A Visit to John F. Kennedy Memorial Park

At just under eight acres, John F. Kennedy Memorial Park is a beautiful neighborhood park in southern Moreno Valley that features four lighted tennis courts, a baseball/softball field, a fun playground, barbecues, picnic tables, and more.


Located at the corner of John F. Kennedy Drive and Indian Street, John F. Kennedy Memorial Park is a gorgeous community park perfect for the entire family.

Pet of the Week: Chico

Our Pet of the Week is a ten-year-old black and white Shih Tzu named Chico. Incredibly friendly and sweet, Chico is the perfect pup for any family. Chico may be small, but he has a big heart and is eager to make friends and have fun with someone just like you.
