Need to get rid of large items after the holidays? Moreno Valley has you covered.


The City's bulky item pickup program gives Moreno Valley households four pickups per month for free. Scheduling a pickup is easy—call Waste Management at 800.423.9986 at least 24 hours in advance of your regular service day, and they'll pick up the bulky item for you.


Accepted bulky items include furniture, large appliances, small household appliances, tires, and oversized yard waste such as tree trunks and large branches.

Rep. Takano Secures $2 Million in Funding for Moreno Valley Homeless Assistance Programs

The City of Moreno Valley is proud to announce an additional $2 million in federal funding for the City’s groundbreaking Homeless to Work Program and the MoVal Emergency Shelter/Rapid Rehousing Program. 


Congressman Mark Takano secured $1 million in Community Project Funding (CPF) toward the Homeless to Work Program and $1 million toward the MoVal Emergency Shelter/Rapid Rehousing Program in the 2023 Consolidated Appropriations Bill signed by President Joe Biden on December 29, 2022.


Moreno Valley’s Homeless to Work Program gives people experiencing homelessness the opportunity to receive part-time work beautifying the City. The MoVal Emergency Shelter/Rapid Rehousing Program moves families who are homeless or on the brink of homelessness into immediate transitional housing. Both programs are in partnership with the Salvation Army.

A Visit to the Moreno Valley Equestrian Center

Equestrians, rejoice! Moreno Valley has its own Equestrian Park & Nature Center, perfect for our two-legged and four-legged residents. Our equestrian park boasts 45 acres of galloping space, with everything you need to keep your horse happy. 


Located at 11150 Redlands Boulevard, the Moreno Valley Equestrian Park & Nature Center is a gorgeous park for humans and horses to enjoy.
