Help End Catalytic Converter Theft in

Moreno Valley

Catalytic converter theft is an issue nationwide and affects every community, and the City of Moreno Valley is working hard to address these crimes.

Businesses are legally required to purchase converters exclusively from commercial enterprises or verified vehicle owners. Businesses must also maintain a written record of the vehicle from which the converter was removed, and maintain a copy of the vehicle’s title. Penalties for violating these laws can potentially reach up to $7800!

If you know a business accepting stolen catalytic converters, you can call our tip line at 951.413.3335 or 951.413.3340 or report it online at moval.org/converter. If you’re a victim of catalytic converter theft in Moreno Valley, call the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department at 951.247.8700.

Together, we can end catalytic converter theft in Moreno Valley!
