Kick off the Spring season the right way with our annual Springtastic event tomorrow, April 1, from 9 a.m. to noon at Sunnymead Park!

Springtastic is a fun, free, and family-friendly event featuring games, a play area for kids, and a special egg hunt for your little ones.

Drop Off Your Bulky Items for Free During

Dump Day on April 8

Do you have a bulky item you need to throw away? Stop by the Badlands Landfill for our Free Dump Day event on Saturday, April 8, from 6 a.m. to noon! 

Moreno Valley's Free Dump Day is a great opportunity to get rid of that pesky item that’s taking up space in your home, including indoor/outdoor furniture, mattresses, household appliances, washers and dryers, e-waste, car batteries, and more. 

Items NOT acceptable include garden chemicals, hazardous waste, tires, pesticides and cleaners, compressed gas cylinders, asbestos, and pool chlorine. Be sure to bring proof of residency (such as an ID or driver's license) when you arrive. 

The Badlands Landfill is located at 31125 Ironwood Ave. We’ll see you there!

Attention MoVal kids ages 11-17: get your glow on with our new spring event!

Check out the Glowing Crazy Egg Hunt on Friday, April 14, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Carla. J. Thornton Teen SPOT. Glowing Crazy is a fun glow-in-the-dark egg hunt featuring food, games, movies, free glow accessories, and a chance to win exciting prizes!

The Carla J. Thornton Teen SPOT is in the Conference & Recreation Center at 14075 Frederick Street.

Get Your Free Smoke Alarm at City Hall with the SAFER Program

Did you know you can receive a free smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector at Moreno Valley City Hall?

Our SAFER (Smoke Alarms & Fire Education Resources) program provides free smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors to Moreno Valley households in need.

All you need to do is stop by City Hall, located at 14177 Frederick Street, during business hours and receive your free Fire Safety Pack.

Pet of the Week: Xena

Our pet of the week is Xena, an energetic four-year-old black German Shepherd. True to her name, Xena is a real princess who loves to play fetch and have fun with just about everyone. With her curious nature and outgoing personality, Xena would do best in a lively household.
