Moreno Valley Wins Multiple National and Regional Government Programming Awards

Moreno Valley has once again been nationally recognized for its exceptional video productions highlighting the City's programs, services, and events. 


On Thursday, October 5, the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) honored Moreno Valley with national awards in Public Meeting Coverage, Live Event Coverage, Intern Video Production, Environmental Issue Related Video Production, Use of Video on Social Media, Promotional Video Production, Public Service Announcement, Visual Effects, and Overall Excellence.


The States of California and Nevada's Association of Telecommunications Officers & Advisors (SCAN NATOA) also honored Moreno Valley in the categories of Use of Animation or Motion Graphics and Environmental Videos. Moreno Valley also swept an awards category, taking every award for SCAN NATOA’s Public Service Announcement category!

City Wins “Ultimate Resident Experience” Award at Accelarate 2023

Moreno Valley’s innovative SimpliCITY Digital Plan Room has been honored with the “Ultimate Resident Experience” award at the Accelarate 2023 Conference in Washington, D.C. 


Accela recognized the City this year for its continual improvement of the SimpliCITY platform, which included creating the automated Solar permitting software SolarAPP+ and responding to feedback from the community to improve the user interface to enhance residents’ experience.


SimpliCITY revolutionizes City business by allowing applicants to submit plans electronically, saving money and allowing Moreno Valley to work faster than ever before.

Celebrate Day of the Dead on October 27

Moreno Valley’s annual Day of the Dead celebration is just two weeks away!


This year’s family-friendly event will take place on Friday, October 27, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Civic Amphitheater. Our Day of the Dead celebration will feature great music from Mariachi Divas and Santana tribute band Savor, exciting ballet folklórico performances, local artists, festive food vendors, a Michelada garden, and beautiful altars commemorating the lives of deceased loved ones.


It will be an event to remember!

Our Pet of the Week is Hank, a two-year-old Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever mix. Hank is a big boy with an even bigger heart and would love nothing more than to be by your side.
