Grow With Google Scholarships Now Available

The Moreno Valley Business & Employment Resource Center (BERC) is now offering free scholarships to the Grow with Google Career Certificate Program (GWG).

 

Full GWG scholarships are available through December 31st, 2024 for the residents of Riverside County or employees of businesses located in Moreno Valley but living outside the county.

 

Through this program, people facing education and employment barriers can enroll through the Moreno Valley BERC to complete one of six accredited certificate programs at no cost.


Choose from Data Analytics, Digital Marketing and E-Commerce, IT Automation with Python, IT Support, Project Management, and User Experience (UX) Design.

 

These certificates are taught by Google employees with decades of experience, and learners can earn a certificate in just a few months. Residents can apply by clicking here.

Let's Beautify MoVal Together

Beautify MoVal is right around the corner!


Join us for our first Beautify MoVal Community Day of Service of 2024 on Saturday, February 10th, from 8 a.m. to noon.


This time, we will maintain the beauty of Shadow Mountain Park in District 2 and Parque Amistad in District 4.


Beautify MoVal is a great way to meet your neighbors, teach your little ones about the importance of community service, and give back to the city you love.


We'll meet in front of Moreno Valley City Hall at 8 a.m. for free coffee, pastries, games, and fun before setting out to Beautify MoVal!

Business License Renewals Due January 31st

Still need to renew your business license? The deadline is January 31st!


Attention all Moreno Valley businesses: The deadline to submit your business license renewal request is fast approaching, so please make sure to submit your request ASAP.

We've made online renewal easier than ever, and we've even put together a step-by-step video for you to follow.


As a reminder, renewal notices were mailed out the second week of December 2023, and the deadline to submit the electronic form and payment is January 31st, 2024.

A Visit to Community Skate Park

Community Skate Park offers skateboarders of all ages a fun, safe place to perfect those ollies, board slides, kickflips, and more!


This week, we pay a visit to Community Skate Park, home to one of Moreno Valley's family-friendly skate parks, with features and amenities to make the skating experience safe and fun for everyone, whether you are a beginner learning the basics, or a more experienced skateboarder looking to hone your skills.


The venue - designed with street skaters in mind - offers features such as ramps, rails (free-standing, stair rails, and grind rails), benches, stairs (four-step), and environmentally friendly LED lighting as part of its skating experience.

 

Located at 13380 Frederick Street, Community Skate Park offers visitors plenty of options to exercise, play sports, or simply enjoy the beautiful Moreno Valley weather this time of the year.

Pet of the Week: Frank

Our Pet of the Week is Yukon Sam, a two-year-old male Siberian Husky. He's an extremely friendly dog with youthful energy and a permanent smile on his face. He displays the typical fun-loving Husky demeanor and is very attentive to commands.
