Moreno Beach Drive Bridge is Officially Open

Moreno Beach Drive Bridge Project Dedication Ceremony Held on Feb 6th.

On Tuesday, February 6th, the City hosted a plaque dedication ceremony celebrating the completion of the Moreno Beach Drive Bridge Project.

The original Caltrans bridge, which served the City and surrounding areas for more than 50 years, was redesigned and reconstructed to expand from two lanes to seven. The new, state-of-the-art bridge also features several safety enhancements and storm drain facilities to mitigate flooding.

Additional improvements include aesthetic improvements, pavement rehabilitation, a new westbound auxiliary lane, and a dedicated southbound Moreno Beach Drive to westbound State Route 60 on-ramp.

This reconstruction project stands as one of the most significant public works accomplishments in the history of our city.
