A Day of Snow and Lights That Glow!

The holidays are around the corner, and that means it’s almost time for our Snow Day and Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, December 7.

Join us tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for our Snow Day as we transform our Civic Center Amphitheater into a beautiful winter wonderland with real snow!

Register today! The event is $6 for residents and $8 for non-residents. To purchase wristbands online, go to registermoval.org. Once purchased, wristbands can be picked up at the Conference & Recreation Center, 14075 Frederick Street, or at will-call on the day of the event. ASL interpretation provided.

And after the Snow Day festivities, stick around for our annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5:45 p.m. in front of City Hall. We'll light up our iconic 30-foot-tall Holiday Tree, and a certain jolly someone from the North Pole will be making a special appearance!

Plus...this year’s Tree Lighting Ceremony will be extra special, because we are also celebrating the City’s 40th anniversary!

Celebrate the season of joy! For more information, visit movalparks.org.

Pet of the Week: Cash

Our Pet of the Week is Cash, a two-year-old, brown and black male German Shepherd mix.

Yes, Cash is big and furry...but he's not in a hurry! Forget the open field! He much prefers an easy-going, mellow walk with his person. Leash-trained and well-mannered, he can sit and shake on command and is eager to learn more tricks.

If you would like to make Cash or any pet from the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter part of your family, please contact the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter at 951.413.3790 or visit www.moval.org/pets.
