Calling All Eggspert Egg Hunters!

Spring is finally here, and there's no better way to kick off the season than our annual Springtastic Festival & Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 12, from 9 a.m. to noon at Sunnymead Park, located at 12655 Perris Boulevard.

Springtastic is a fun and family-friendly event featuring festival games, a Youth Fun Zone, delicious food, and a special egg hunt!

Egg Hunt times:

• 9:15 a.m. (Ages 2-5, one guardian per child allowed on the field)
• 9:45 a.m. (Ages 6-8, children with special needs, no guardians on the field)
• 10:15 a.m. (Ages 9-12, no guardians on the field)

Flashlights, Food, and Fun!

Get ready, MoVal! Our 3rd annual Adult Flashlight Egg Scramble will be on Saturday, April 19, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Lasselle Sports Park, located at 17155 Lasselle Street.

This 18-and-over event will feature a live DJ, great food, and exciting prizes. We’ll be turning off the lights and hiding 12,000 eggs all over the park with candy or maybe even a “Golden Ticket” for a chance to win game systems, an HDTV, gift cards, and more!

The egg hunt will happen in the dark, so be sure to bring your flashlight! 

Note: There is a $15 entry fee. The event is limited to the first 1,000 adults. Registration for the Adult Flashlight Egg Scramble runs through Wednesday, April 9, or until sold out.

On Your Mark...Eggs Set...Glow!

Attention MoVal teens and pre-teens ages 11-17: get your 'glow' on with the return of our popular spring event!

Check out the Glowing Crazy Egg Hunt tonight, Friday, April 4, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Carla. J. Thornton Teen SPOT. Glowing Crazy is a fun glow-in-the-dark egg hunt featuring food, games, music, free glow accessories, and a chance to win exciting prizes!

The Carla J. Thornton Teen SPOT is in the Conference & Recreation Center at 14075 Frederick Street.

Our Shred Event is a Cut Above

Got some documents you need to shred? The City of Moreno Valley is hosting a free Drive-Thru Shred Event on Saturday, April 5, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. or until the truck is full. 

Our Shred Event is a safe and easy way to dispose of all your confidential or sensitive documents properly. For free, on-site shredding, residents can bring up to three banker-sized boxes or three 33-gallon bags per household. 

The Shred Event will be held at the City Yard, located at 15670 Perris Blvd. There's nothing better than our shredder!

Pet of the Week: Willow

Our Pet of the Week is Willow, a one-year-old female tan Terrier mix.

If you're looking for a dog that is sweet, gentle, and loving, look no further! Willow is small, but has a huge heart and is looking for that perfect home where she can snuggle on the couch, watch Animal Planet re-runs with her family members, and go out into the backyard every once in a while to play with her favorite chew toy or tennis ball.
