Safety and Security with a Dash of Fun!

The City of Moreno Valley Public Safety Expo is a fantastic opportunity to meet and greet Moreno Valley's finest and bravest. This fun and family-friendly event features hands-on exhibits, exciting demonstrations, music, food, giveaways, and so much more!

The Public Safety Expo will take place tomorrow, Saturday, May 17, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. along Calle San Juan de Los Lagos at the Moreno Valley Civic Center.

Get to know your Moreno Valley first responders, investigate exciting career opportunities, and watch amazing Police and Fire Department demonstrations.

This year’s event features:

  • Meet ‘Captain Cal’ and the Moreno Valley Fire Department. Learn about fire safety and how to protect yourself and your family.
  • Exciting ‘jaws of life’ full-action demonstrations. Watch as the firefighters show the power of rescue tools and skills that work to free trapped victims from crushed vehicles.
  • Emergency Obstacle Course designed just for kids. Children can learn how to drop, cover, and hold on as they navigate their way around, under, and over several ‘hazards.’ Plus, they can even extinguish a fire using a real fire hose!
  • And much, much more!

Pet of the Week: Buster

Our Pet of the Week is Buster, a one-year-old, tan male Chihuahua Mix.

Buster may be small, but he's BIG on fursonality once he gets to know you! He's sweeter than sugar and cuter than a button. Buster is good with the elderly and loves playing with kids. He will provide many years of affection, fun, and joy to the lucky, loving family that takes him home.

If you would like to make Buster or any pet from the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter part of your family, please contact the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter at 951.413.3790 or visit moval.org/pets.
