Moreno Valley's Pothole Patrol goes High-Tech to Ramp up Road Repair
Did you know that Moreno Valley's Public Work's Team repairs over 6,000 potholes each year?

That number may seem astounding, but City Staff is committed to keeping your commute safe and smooth.

California endured heavy rainfall and a longer than usual winter season. As heavy rains promoted the growth of beautiful super blooms regionally, they also fueled an increase in stress on highways and infrastructure. As a result, potholes in the City's roads have increased. Proactively addressing this concern, the City of Moreno Valley has implemented innovations utilizing GIS technology through a new data collection application. The new "app" allows staff to identify pothole "hot spots" throughout the City, which will help improve data accuracy, analysis capability, and improve planning and response.

These innovations exemplify the City's dedication to proactively responding to road conditions to keep our community safe for all drivers.
