"Spark of Love" Toy Drive
Accepting Donations Through Dec. 16
The Moreno Valley Fire Department is sponsoring the Spark of Love Toy Drive and asking for your help to make sure every child has a happy holiday.

Please bring new, unwrapped toys or sports equipment to any MoVal fire station by December 16. Our firefighters and Santa will make sure the presents get to children who otherwise might have nothing -- and you may find your generosity makes this holiday season your merriest ever!

Families Ignore Drizzle for
Annual Snow Day and Tree Lighting
The occasionally wet weather was no obstacle for families intent on getting the kids some snow play and seeing Santa Claus help light the tree at City Hall! Despite a few rain drops, like Christmas in Whoville, "It came! Somehow or other, it came just the same!" You can watch the tree lighting here , including beautiful holiday songs by the Canyon Springs High School Madrigals and a very cute performance by kids from the City's Time for Tots program.

Picture of the Week:
Snow Comes to MoVal
That smile tells the whole story. Once again this year, Snow Day was a hit with both kids and parents. A little rain here and there? No problem! After all, playing in the snow, you're bound to get a little wet, anyway. Thanks to Parks & Community Services and everyone who had a hand in providing this very fun community event for MoVal kids.
Pet of the Week: Lola
Meet Lola. She's a sweet little Shorthair Chihuahua. And at just one year, Lola's still a baby. She needs taking care of by a loving human she can rely on for life. If you're ready to make that commitment, you're going to have a happy little Chihuahua on your hands! Lola is waiting for you NOW! And after all, "Whatever Lola wants, Lola gets." Right?

Please visit the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter located at 14041 Elsworth St. to inquire about adopting sweet little Lola and other cats and dogs searching for life companions. Animal Services can be reached at 951-413-3790 .
