Take the General Plan Update Survey Today!

Here's a chance to help shape the future of the community for years to come, and all you have to do is answer a few online survey questions about things like what kind of development the City should pursue in the next 20 years. It's an important part of the process of updating the City's General Plan, which is a guide to all kinds of development in our City, spelling out what can go where and what infrastructure is needed to support it. The online survey is available in English and Spanish and only takes a few minutes, and can be taken through the month of February . Please let your voice be heard!

The City's second annual Race Across the Base is set for Saturday, March 7. This very popular event includes a 5K race and a 1k fun run — all ages welcome! Race Across the Base also features a fitness and resource fair, participant medals, t-shirts, food vendors and prizes. So if you plan to run, why not make it official and register today — and save money in the process!

MoVal Wins Statewide Award for

After-school ASES Program

The City of Moreno Valley has been selected as a 2019 California Park & Recreation Society (CPRS) Award of Excellence recipient for its After School Education and Safety (ASES) program. The City’s partnerships with after-school program provider Think Together and Moreno Valley and Val Verde unified school districts, combined with the outstanding curriculum, continual grant-seeking efforts and academic and social opportunities provided to more than 3,800 youth in Moreno Valley contributed to winning this award.

"Our close working relationships with the two school districts in Moreno Valley are especially effective," said Dr. Yxstian Gutierrez, Mayor of Moreno Valley. "Each of our organizations does what it does best as we work together to provide safe, engaging learning experiences for our City's youth during that risky time between 3 and 6 p.m."
