New Fitness Stations Installed at John F. Kennedy Memorial Park
Outdoor fitness equipment was recently added to John F. Kennedy Memorial Park to address the fitness needs of most individuals. The location is also accessible to those with disabilities.

The new equipment includes a dip bench, parallel bars, squat machine, cross trainer, pull up station, and steps of varying heights.

The equipment is conveniently located next to the park's playground, allowing adults to workout while keeping a close eye on their children enjoying the playground.

Please note that the workout equipment is for use by those 13 years and older.

Road Repairs at March Field Park Improve Access
The heavily rutted roads surrounding the Community Center at March Field Park were repaired this week to alleviate headaches for residents trying to access the park's facilities.

The aged roads developed large ruts that filled with water during recent rains, creating frustrations for our residents trying to access the park’s Time for Tots programs, skate park and ball fields.

Public Works staff quickly addressed the situation and completed the work within a few days to restore access to the park.

Street Reopens Following Roadway Improvements
Fir Avenue west of Nason Street recently reopened for vehicle traffic after being closed to accommodate nearby housing development improvements. The roadway reconstruction included storm drain and utility work, raising the roadway approximately ten feet, curb and gutter, and new pavement.

Street lights, sidewalk, and striping will be completed over the next several weeks. Fir Avenue will remain open while these final improvements are being finished.

The City appreciates your patience during this temporary improvement process. Please contact the Land Development Division at 951.413.3120 with any questions.
