Participants Community Clean Up June 23
Help us Keep Moreno Valley Beautiful by participating in a Community Clean Up Event on Saturday, June 23, 2018

This is the perfect opportunity to give back to our community by helping remove litter and debris from our streets.

Participants should meet City staff at 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 23 at the intersection of Iris Avenue and Lasselle Street.

The City of Moreno Valley encourages all residents to participate in the event and to properly dispose of their trash and recycling waste.

The City of Moreno Valley created the Keep Moreno Valley Beautiful Program to encourage the community to actively participate in the City’s beautification efforts. The Keep Moreno Valley Beautiful Program mission is to build partnerships which inspire community engagement and the development of beautification programs which enhance the quality of life and civic pride in the City of Moreno Valley.

MVPD Officers, Explorers Raise Money for Cancer Research
Police officers and explorers from the Moreno Valley Police Department helped raise money for cancer research at the Relay for Life event at the California School for the Deaf on June 9.

Explorers staffed the MVPD Arresting Cancer Jail, taking donations in exchange for “arresting” a friend for “crimes” including Being Late, Being Too Pretty and other fun “offenses.”

Relay for Life is the main fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. The event is coordinated by volunteers in an effort to help fight cancer.

The Relay provided an opportunity for community members to remember loved ones, honor survivors and raise money to fund cancer research.

For more information about Relay for Life events, visit the American Cancer Society website .
New Pavement Installed on Cactus Avenue
New street pavement has been installed on Cactus Avenue east of Moreno Beach Drive as part of new housing development. Cactus has been reopened to traffic.

The project also included adding curbs and gutters, sidewalks, street lights as well as utility work. Cactus will remain open to traffic while the remaining improvements are completed over the next several weeks.

The City appreciates your continued patience during construction. Please contact the Land Development Division at 951.413.3120 with any questions.
