Join business leaders, local dignitaries, and residents at the City of Moreno Valley’s
State of the City
on Wednesday, August 22 at 11:30 a.m. at the Conference and Recreation Center.
In his keynote address, Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez will highlight the City’s achievements over the last year as well as what lies ahead for Inland Southern California’s premier community.

"A Child's Place" Garden Grows
|
The City’s “A Child’s Place” childcare summer program “sprouted off” with the children planting their own summer garden.
The children worked together preparing the soil and planting various seeds, providing a fun and hands-on way to introduce them to science, mathematics and chemistry, all while getting their hands in the dirt.
Throughout their experience this summer, the students have learned the importance of taking care of the garden, and they continue to learn as they work together to water and gather the produce daily. The garden has taught them valuable skills such as responsibility and patience, enhanced their fine motor skills development, and encouraged healthy eating.
The garden has produced delicious tomatoes, onions, artichoke, zucchini, bell peppers, and cilantro. The children have truly enjoyed learning about gardening and planting this summer.
