|
Join business leaders, local dignitaries, and residents at the City of Moreno Valley’s
State of the City
on Wednesday, August 22 at 11:30 a.m. at the Conference and Recreation Center.
In his keynote address, Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez will highlight the City’s achievements over the last year as well as what lies ahead for Inland Southern California’s premier community.
Moreno Valley was named the third most fiscally strong City in the nation by the Fiscal Times, and continues with a balanced budget for the sixth straight year. Jobs are being created at a record pace, while the City has added police officers and firefighters to enhance public safety, opened a new library location, and bolstered our award-winning Economic Development program to set the stage for continued growth.
The Council has approved millions of dollars to make roads smoother than ever, invest in local youth, and build state-of-the-art athletic and cultural facilities.
Attendees will see, firsthand, how Moreno Valley has emerged as the economic hub of the Inland region.

Auto Mall Improvements Makes Shopping MoVal Cars Even Easier
|
The City has made it easier than ever before to shop at the Moreno Valley Auto Mall, increasing the amount of available parking spots and reconfiguring the primary roadway that surrounds the complex to help traffic flow.
City crews reconfigured Motor Way, removing the existing two-way left-turn lane and replacing it with double yellow centerline striping, which increased the width of the travel lanes. “No Parking” signs were removed throughout the Auto Mall to increase the amount of available parking.
The travel lane restriping and the removal of the “No Parking” signage on Motor Way, makes it possible to accommodate the needs of our auto dealerships and other auto mall business partners, and will allow for convenient and safe patronage of the goods and services available at the City’s auto mall complex.

Hundreds Turn Out for National Night Out
|
Hundreds of Moreno Valley residents and members of the Moreno Valley Police and Fire Departments came together for a night of family fun at National Night Out on Tuesday, August 7 at TownGate Memorial Park.
National Night Out promotes partnerships between our police and fire departments and the community we serve - all while bringing neighbors together.
The event provided the perfect opportunity for residents to meet their local police officers and firefighters and check out some of the police cars, fire engines and other equipment they rely on to keep our City safe every day.
Police K9s and Mounted Posse were also on hand to show how highly trained K9s and horses work alongside our uniformed men and women.
And everyone had the chance to get to know some of their neighbors.
There was fun for the entire family, including:
Carnival Games | Giveaways | Bounce Houses | Music
Food vendors: Chick-Fil-A | BJ’s | Kona Ice
Together, we can make our neighborhoods a safer, more caring place to live.
