BOARD of DIRECTORS RESOLUTION of the MORGANTOWN AREA CHAMBER of COMMERCE

WHEREAS, one of the primary strategic initiatives of the Morgantown Area Chamber of Commerce has been the maintenance and addition of much needed roads and infrastructure and the Roads to Prosperity plan of the State of West Virginia goes a long way toward obtaining this initiative: and,

WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Morgantown Area Chamber of Commerce wishes to publicly recognize the exceptional service toward the Roads to Prosperity plan by Donald Williams on behalf of the State of West Virginia and Monongalia County in educating the public concerning the 2017 Road Bond Constitutional Amendment: and,

WHEREAS, Mr. Williams worked day and night tirelessly for several months by presenting educational opportunities to the voters of West Virginia and in particular, Monongalia County, so that the public could make an informed decision before voting in a Special Election on the Road Bond Constitutional Amendment on October 7, 2017: and,

WHEREAS, in large part because of the efforts of Mr. Williams, the Road Bond Constitutional Amendment was approved by the voting public statewide and by a vote of more than 80% in Monongalia County: and,

WHEREAS, in large part because of the efforts of Mr. Williams, Monongalia County will realize more than $272 million in road and infrastructure improvements and construction in the coming years.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Directors of the Morgantown Area Chamber of Commerce hereby recognizes and commends Mr. Donald Williams for his invaluable service to the State of West Virginia and in particular to the economic development and future of Monongalia County.

We, the undersigned, hereby certify the Morgantown Area Chamber of Commerce is comprised of 19 members of whom 10 constitute a quorum were present at a meeting duly and regularly called, noticed, and convened this day, and that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted unanimously, and that said Resolution has been duly recorded in the Minutes Book and is in full force and effect.

Given under our hands and the SEAL of the MORGANTOWN AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE this 18th day of October, 2017.
