On Shabbat morning we will be joined by Hadas Eilon.

Hadas will speak following kiddush.

Hadas grew up in Kfar Aza and lives in central Israel. On October 6th Hadas was visiting her mother and brothers for Simchat Torah at her mother’s home in Kfar Aza. The next 35 hours were an absolute nightmare. Hadas will share how she, alongside her brother, mother, daughter, and niece miraculously survived. She will also share the heartbreaking story of her other brother, Tal, who commanded the community security team and died fighting to defend Kfar Aza and its residents.

I hope you will join us.

Shabbat Shalom,

Steve

Lead Ashrei/Shir HaKavod:

We encourage children under bar/bat mitzvah age to lead these prayers from the bima on Shabbat. It is a wonderful way for the next generation to take on leadership roles in the community. If you would like to have your child participate, please contact Dan Werlin.

Bankier-Boberman Religious School News

Last week our classes enjoyed tasty and meaningful Tu B’Shevat seders. Our Gimel-Zayin (grades 3-7) classes joined together on Thursday and our Gan-Bet (grades K-2) gathered on Sunday for fun and engaging experiences celebrating the New Year of the Trees. They made the brachot (blessings) over the different types of fruits on their seder plates and drank different shades of juices to represent the four seasons. Songs, readings, and stories rounded out their lovely seders. Check out the photos here.

Shabbat Shalom.

Greta

"The Hearing Loop"
Moriah has a loop system available for individuals using hearing aids, to improve communication access for our members and guests with hearing loss. To access this system, tell your audiologist or hearing instrument specialist that your synagogue is "looped" and ask if there is a t-coil in your hearing aid(s). Then make an appointment to have it activated. If your hearing aids do not have a t-coil, talk with your audiologist about alternate ways of accessing the loop.
