Lead Ashrei/Shir HaKavod:

We encourage children under bar/bat mitzvah age to lead these prayers from the bima on Shabbat. It is a wonderful way for the next generation to take on leadership roles in the community. If you would like to have your child participate, please contact Dan Werlin.

Bankier-Boberman Religious School News

In celebration of Rosh Chodesh Adar Alef this week, our students learned about Rosh Chodesh (the New Month) and the different cycles of the moon. They created “moon dough” and formed shapes of the 8 phases of the moon provided on their sheet. Everyone enjoyed making and playing with their “moon dough!”

The final session of the 6th Grade B’nai Mitzvah workshop took place last Sunday. Students led a delightful “Mock Shabbat” service for their parents in the Sanctuary, based on what they learned the week prior (and complete with a sermon and announcements). Special thanks to Ari Vachman for his engaging demonstration of how to put on Tefillin, immediately following morning minyan. It was personal and insightful.

Kids, come join us for Mini-Minyan held each Shabbat at 10:30 AM in the Beit Midrash. There is singing, games, stories, and lots of fun. Hope to see you this Shabbat!

"The Hearing Loop"
Moriah has a loop system available for individuals using hearing aids, to improve communication access for our members and guests with hearing loss. To access this system, tell your audiologist or hearing instrument specialist that your synagogue is "looped" and ask if there is a t-coil in your hearing aid(s). Then make an appointment to have it activated. If your hearing aids do not have a t-coil, talk with your audiologist about alternate ways of accessing the loop.
