Dear Chamber Investor,
No, we have not started a new dating service. Ha! Morning Mingle is a new coffee meetup for casual conversations and quality time spent with fellow Chamber members. Want to know more about membership benefits? Want to know how you can get more engaged? Have an idea for us to consider? Have a business concern you want to share? Want to get to know our staff and board members better?
Then, please join us for our first Morning Mingle on Friday, January 27th at 7:30 a.m. in downtown Murray at 5th & Main Coffees. Can't make it? Feel free to schedule at time with a staff member or attend Membership 101 in February. Contact hailey@mymurray.com for more information.
Leadership West Kentucky, a program of the West Kentucky Regional Chamber Alliance (WKRCA), kicked off last week and we were able to meet the 30 participants in this inaugural class representing various industries from across the region. Congratulations to Shawn Touney with Murray State University for representing Calloway County, as well as Dana Howard with CFSB. Congressman Comer representative, Austin Wetherington, joins the class and represents multiple counties including Calloway. Our Chamber helps coordinate the program and will host the class in Murray in March.
"It is probably my favorite leadership training I've ever had," said Dana Howard after participating in the opening retreat with trainer, Virgil Grant.
We truly appreciate your continued partnership! It is a privilege to represent our community. Invoices went out this month. Upon payment, we will deliver your 2023 Membership Decal which we hope you proudly display on your window and/or door.

We were able to celebrate with the Jarvis Vision team expanding with the addition of new optometrist, Dr. Mary Jo Moore. Dr. Moore relocated to our area from Florida and has loved getting to know our community and her patients over the past few months. She says the Jarvis team has quickly become like family and looks forward to getting more involved in the community. If you have a chance, stop by the Jarvis office at 1806 N 4th Street and give her a warm welcome!
Join us for Business at Breakfast next month with guest speakers Laura Miller, West Regional Director of Special Olympics Kentucky, and Kris Foster, owner of Culvers of Murray. They will be talking about employing individuals with disabilities and supporting those with neurodiversity, such as autism. As it becomes more difficult to find employees and our population becomes more neurodiverse, it is a topic that will help support local businesses and our community. Please join the conversation!
