Dear Morningstar Family,

Thank you for your support, patience and prayers over these several months of quarantine and disruption. We are all pleased that things are beginning to feel a little normal again, if even it’s a new normal. We pray that you have been blessed and benefitted much from the online ministries that have been made available to you.

With summer approaching, we normally shift ministry gears and wanted to make you aware of some of what will be happening and what will not:
Play and Sing-along with the Robinet’s and Family Devotion with the Huffmans will continue until the
end of June.
Basketball and Dance camps which were scheduled for July is cancelled because of current health restrictions. However we are excited to announce that Kids Camp -Rocky Railway- is moving online and will take place August 10-14. Stay tune for more information from Karmin and her team.
Awana & Storytime with Karmin has concluded for the year. The Gospel Project for kids will run to the end of June, followed by weekly teaching for the kids all summer.

This year’s Annual Church Picnic has been cancelled.

Pastor Derek’s Thursday night (7pm) online class through Revelation will continue through the summer. Send Derek an email if you would like to join these interactive, live sessions:   [email protected]
The Friday Zoom Prayer & Praise at 7pm hosted by Pastor Mario will continue through the summer.

Here is an opportunity for you to see what our Arabic Ministry & Ajax Lighthouse is doing, check them out on line: Arabic Ministry online weekly and weekend activities, please contact Pastor Chadi at  [email protected]  for more information. For Ajax Lighthouse online services on Saturdays  https://ajaxlighthouse.online.church/
We are encouraging our members to begin meeting again within the maximum allowable number of 10 while adhering to all of the health guidelines including social distancing.
We are excited to announce that the Ontario government has lifted the ban on places of worship so they can begin meeting again at 30% of building capacity. For Morningstar that is about 240 people at any one time in our building. We have a team in place working on a reopening plan and expect to have our first in person worship service Sunday, June 28 at 9am only.
Please continue to pray for us and the ministries of Morningstar as we carry out our mandate of taking the gospel to everyone and building up the body of Christ.
