Give Your Dad a Special Father's Dad Gift....
When a child is born, a father is born. First time dads worry there is a great deal they don't know. A bit dated, but here are great instructions for (cloth) diaper changing that should put all dads at ease.
"Spread the diaper in the position of the diamond with you at bat. Then fold second base down to home and set the baby on the pitcher's mound. Put first base and third together, bring up home plate and pin the three together. Of course, in case of rain, you gotta call the game and start all over again." ~Jimmy Piersall, former professional baseball outfielder, on how to diaper a baby, 1968
For all he has done, please consider making a donation in honor or memory of your dad to help our Habitat families.
To all the dads, uncles, brothers, mentors, coaches, teachers who have impacted lives, the homeowners, Board of Directors and staff of Morris Habitat wish you...
A very happy Father's Day!

Volunteer of the Month . . . Carole Mottola

Carole has volunteered with the ReStore for more than six years, starting about six months after it opened. Over the years she has worn many hats -- pricing merchandise, assisting customers, working as a cashier, and handling donation calls. Along the way, Carole said she has made lifelong friends with other volunteers and staff members.
Carole is moving to Lakewood, NJ this month, and while we are sad to see her go, we are grateful for her many years of dedicated service to Morris Habitat. And we are thrilled that she plans to volunteer at the ReStore in Freehold.
According to Rick Ostberg, ReStore Director, "Carole's sharing of inspirational quotes has helped sustain me throughout my tenure at the ReStore. Her unfailing support and contributions to our organization are much appreciated and will be sorely missed. We wish her all the best!"

Special thanks to volunteer groups from: Pfizer, French's, Alcatel Lucent, First Reformed Church of Pompton Plains, Colgate Palmolive, Wyndham, and Kean University.

Thank you to Volunteers from Congregation Beth Israel in Scotch Plains . . .
In one day these hard working volunteers installed insulating materials and applied sealant to one of the three homes being built in Madison, NJ, on the site of a former paving company.
The house will be occupied by a woman who has a son with special needs and two daughters, all in their twenties. Congregation Beth Israel partnered with us as part of its Mitzvah Day, a day of service within the community for volunteers of all ages.
