Get Ready, Christmas is Coming and You Need the Perfect Gift
the perfect Christmas Gift

Found the Perfect Gift Yet?

The race is on. Christmas decorations are up everywhere. Black Friday and Cyber Monday have passed by and now it is up to the everyday shoppers to find the perfect gift for their friends and loved ones. But in a world saturated with electronics and choices of every kind, how does someone find the perfect gift? Well let's start with the definition of what that really means.

What is The Perfect Gift?
For many people the perfect gift is something that makes the receiver say, "Wow!" A gift that is extravagant and would never be purchased by the person receiving it.Then there are those who think the perfect gift is the latest "must have" toy or "hot" item on the market.

Yet, in reality maybe the perfect gift is more so something that brings joy to the receiver's eyes immediately upon opening. Something personal with a value not necessarily established by money.
A Christmas Story- Ralphie and bb gun

Think back to childhood, to that one gift you received that to this day, each Christmas, makes you smile. Now you have the definition of the perfect gift. So now that we know how it should feel, here are some tips on how to figure out what it is and where to get it.

Think About the Person Receiving the Gift.

What does the person like? Do they have a hobby? What are their favorite colors or foods? What do they like to do for entertainment? Listen for hints not just at Christmas but throughout the year.

What doesn't the person like?  This is one of the biggest mistakes gift givers make. Something cool, cute or perfect for you may not feel the same to the person receiving it. Pay close attention to brands, styles, scents and colors. People are often very particular when it comes to what they wear.
4 gifts challenge

Where to Get the Perfect Gift.
  • Giving the perfect gift does not necessarily mean buying it new. Some of the greatest gifts can be found at thrift stores, garage sales or online outlets (EBay, Etsy or Craigslist). It really is about knowing what someone likes.
  • Don't shop only at stores. Can't find what you want in the store? Look online. Many retailers now offer much more variety on their websites than in the store. It is not unheard of for something to be sold out at the store but available online. Also, many stores will do FREE SHIPPING, if you have the items shipped to the store for pickup. Don't forget; when retailers are sold out, items can often be found on Amazon.
  • Everyone loves gift cards! Let's face it we all have that someone who is hard to shop for. Whether it is a relative who has everything or that teenager who likes nothing, buying them a physical gift assures a return the day after Christmas. Gift cards are a wonderful solution.
  • Don't buy anything. Sometimes the perfect gift cannot be bought. For senior adults many times the perfect gift is just to have time with family. For a parent who travels frequently for work, make a family game night' gift. Plan a date night with your significant other. Many times the perfect gift is just time.
the Grinch heart
The Perfect Gift is your heart.  Truth is there is no
physical perfect gift. When it comes to the true perfect gift, that can  only be attained  from  the heart.  Making time for family and friends is the first step to the perfect gift, but don't stop there carry it over to your community. Donate time to a ho meless shelter. Volunteer to help in your church. Offer to mow the yard for a neighbor going through a difficult time. Volunteer to babysit so a single mom can go Christmas shopping. Invite a college student who can't go home for the holidays to Christmas dinner.

The Gift of Good Health. Last but not least, for many of us the perfect gift is assuring that we are around for our families as long as possible.  The perfect gift is good health . As you approach the coming New Year, take stock of your health. Schedule a physical. Start a fitness routine. Do you have a chronic illness that is not under control? Now is the time to see Morrow Family Medicine . We can help you give the perfect gift to those around you, your good health.
