Tiger Spotlights

We would like to Spotlight, Dr. Veronica Garza, Ms. Romana Reed, and two students, Catherine Landas and Valeria Machuca presented their work in English Language Development (ELD) at the National Council of Teachers of English Annual Conference in Denver, Colorado. Their presentation was called Dreaming Boldly of Multilingual Futures: Culturally Sustaining Instructional Practices for High School Multilingual Learner Students.  During the presentation, Catherine and Valeria shared about their personal experiences as multilingual learners to an audience of over 40 attendees! This was a wonderful experience for educators across the country to hear and learn about Morse’s efforts to support multilingual learners.

We would like to spotlight Superior Garror who stayed true to his neighborhood roots, and the Morse Tigers was rewarded with the school's first State Championship appearance. Superior landed an invite to the PPR Podcast!

We would like to spotlight Morse Tiger Baseball Players Jacob Hoffman, Logan Curtis, Angel Salamanca, and Christian Fernandez for painting Coach Booker's Golf Cart, Showing off their art skills!

CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS

Last week ASB hosted the very first BATTLE OF THE COUNCILS. Featuring ASB, Yearbook and Peer Mentors! After all of the fun sports they participated in, ASB took the win for the first battle of the councils!

SPORTS

Congratulations to our Morse Varsity Football team for being state runner ups! These Coaches and Student Athletes put countless hours to perfect their craft to go on an amazing run to state!

All the hard work these student athletes put in, LANDED them on the All League List! Congratulations to all these boys for their outstanding performances on that Field! Incredible Season for our very own Superior Garror, voted by his peers to be the Offensive Player of the Year!

Congratulations to our Morse Varsity Boys Basketball team for winning the Valhalla Norseman Holiday Classic and starting the season off HOT with an 9-0 Record!
