This casual event takes the place of the Chamber Annual Dinner traditionally held in January. Join us for heavy hors d'oeuvres, networking, and light entertainment. Find out the theme of the 2017 Pumpkin Festival!
The Distinguished Service Award winner and the Chamber Volunteer of the Year will be announced.
Established in 1972, the Distinguished Service Award recognizes a local citizen who has made a significant impact on the community of Morton through their leadership and volunteerism.
The Morton Chamber Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes a Chamber Member who has volunteered their time to make Chamber programs, events, and initiatives more effective and impactful.

Morton Mentor Program |

The new Morton Mentor Program matches Morton CUSD 709
High School students with local mentors possessing professional knowledge, skills, contacts, and resources. Mentors and mentees will meet at least three times a semester. Deadline for Spring session mentor sign up is January 4 at midnight.

Leadership Morton is a program of the Morton Chamb
er of
Commerce to develop business and community leaders by cultivating skills, awareness, and engagement through intentional learning experiences for the continual betterment of the Village of Morton and our employers.
Price is $250 for members or $350 for non-members.
Participation is open to individuals who reside, work, or spend a majority of volunteer time in Morton and are employed by a member of the Morton Chamber. A minimum of 20 participants with a maximum of 25 will be selected.
Sessions are weekly on Thursdays from January 19 to April 6, 2017, from 8 to 10 am at the Midwest Food Bank, 700 Erie Avenue, unless otherwise stated. Topics, speakers, and tours will be announced later this month.

The Center for Prevention of Abuse recently got a boost from Archer Daniels Midland Company. The $1,500 donation will go toward supporting The Center's Prevention Education program in schools throughout Peoria, Tazewell and Woodford County.
GriefShare series will be starting on January 9, and DivorceCare on January 11 at
Grace Church in Morton. There is no fee to participate. For further information or to register, please call the church office at 309-266-9281.
The
Morton Knights of Columbus will sponsor the 2017 Youth Free Throw Tournament on January 14 at 2 pm in the Blessed Sacrament School gym. Doors will open early for registration. All boys and girls ages 9 to 14 are invited to participate in this FREE event.

Facade Grant Program taking Applications
|
|
The Façade Grant Program, made possible through Business District funds, is accepting the first round of 2017 applications. The application and policies are available on the Village of Morton website. The Façade Grant Program provides financial assistance for the rehabilitation of the exterior of commercial buildings located within the Business District for matching funds up to $10,000.
