Find the Web-Based Applications You Need to Succeed

You might hear a lot of talk about "the cloud" these days.  What does it mean to move your business to the cloud?  It simply means taking advantage of the many benefits of web-based applications.  A web-based, or SaaS, application is any application that uses a website as the interface

(the 'front-end').

Today, there are hundreds of SaaS applications to meet every business need, from managing your cashflow to planning an event to online surveys and more.  A great place to start your search for the web-based apps you need is your Chamber app store.

Moses Lake Chamber of Commerce
Costa Rica Trip
Wrap-Up!

February was a great month to travel with 42 Chamber friends to Costa Rica!  What a beautiful place!

We toured for 10 days throughout the country. Starting in San Jose and traveling to the Caribbean side for two night stay in Tortuguero. On the way we stopped at one of the first churches and viewed a beautiful carved wall.  The next stop was at Sibu chocolate factory for lunch and the history of chocolate making in Costa Rica. The chocolate and lunch was fabulous and so was the family that served us. So much history!

The bus took us to Cariari where we then jumped on a boat which took an hour and a half boat ride to Tortuguero. (Only way there is by boat)  Tortuguero was an authentic village with no air conditioning and rustic cabin lodging.  We visited the village and toured the wildlife refuge seeing many Costa Rican birds and wildlife.

The fourth day we headed to Horquetas for a one night stay in a wonderful lodge.  We started off with a walk to our lodge across a sky-bridge.  This was a beautiful property where we had a great dinner and breakfast.

The fifth day we are headed the Arenal the great volcano!  We stopped alongside the road for banana harvest, a sloth in a tree, and pineapple education. I think we all know how to pick a pineapple now!  We also had a great lunch with a Costa Rican farm family who farms heart of palm.  This stop was very educational with the family starting us off with our own fresh coconut water.  The family showed us how and where the
heart of palm comes from.  They then cooked us a meal with the fresh heart of palm, corn, and homemade fresh tortillas.  Delicious!

Arenal is a wonderful place!  Must go back and spend a little more time here.  Our rooms were amazing!  We were right at the bottom of the volcano and the view was spectacular! Here we visited the most amazing hot springs and ended the evening with a wonderful buffet.

The next morning we were back on the bus headed for Monte Verde and the cloud forest.  We stayed here for two nights. The first day we visited and walked over all the sky bridges and saw the most beautiful sunset!  The next day we toured the cloud forest, visited a cheese factory, coffee plantation and most went zip lining.
What a wonderful stay with lots of excitement here!

Day eight and nine we headed to the Beach!  Tamarindo was our destination! This was a wonderful place to relax, and enjoy the warm ocean water washing over your feet and body.  We had a wonderful time walking on the beach and watching the sunsets!  The pools at our hotel were awesome too! Some of our travelers took an optional tour the last day and went out on a catamaran boat for a wonderful day on the Pacific.
Costa Rica is a place to go back and visit for sure!
