Healing Mass
On Friday, June 9th we will offer the holy sacrifice of the Mass for the bereaved and those in need of general physical and spiritual healing. Please join us at St. Julian Eymard Church at 7:00pm.
At this Mass, we will offer prayer as a community for the healing of all congregants living, deceased and even those who we do not know yet. All are invited to bring a photograph or memento of a love one to help focus your prayer in a particular way.
Additionally, members of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament will be on hand to share prayer shawls—a way to literally wrap someone in prayer. All are invited!

Aid for Women. In the Chicago metropolitan area, one out of four pregnancies ends in abortion. Aid for Women helps thousands of women each year in the Chicago metropolitan area who find themselves facing unexpected pregnancy. Each woman is provided with the emotional, practical and spiritual support that she needs to choose life for her unborn baby and to provide a better future for her and her child. Their life-affirming services are offered free-of-charge.
Meet Janessa. She was 19 years old when she learned she was pregnant. She didn't have a support system to help her through this. Aid for Women moved Janessa into Heather's House where she found her support system in the other young mothers going through the same thing. She is currently enrolled in college, preparing a better life for herself and her baby. See Janessa's complete story.

Welcome the Stranger
A very important first step as we move forward with the asylum-seeking family we're sponsoring—Italo, Jugla, Chloe and a baby on the way—is to secure safe and affordable housing. Our Liaison Team has been working with members of Catholic Charities Resettlement Team on this, but the process has been challenging. If you or someone you know may know of a place (1- or 2-bedroom apartment, rooms for rent, small single family townhome, condo or home) that would be open to renting to our sponsorship family, please contact the parish office today!
