Mother of
Hope and Trust

On the 1st Sunday of Advent, 1985

"I am the Mother of Hope and of Trust.
Live with me through these times of your Second Advent.

As I was the virginal Mother of the first coming of Jesus,
so also today I am the glorious Mother of His second coming.

Live in this expectation and you will be blessed.
Blessed in the midst of trials and sufferings of every kind,
because you have the certitude that the time of the present tribulation
is preparing the time of the glorious return of my Son Jesus.

Blessed in the midst of misunderstandings and persecutions,
because your names are written in my Immaculate Heart and
because you are being guarded in my secure and motherly refuge.

Blessed also if you are living in a Church which is darkened,
wounded and divided because this, her hour of agony,
is preparing for her the radiant dawn of a second Pentecost.

Live in my Immaculate Heart, blessed in the expectation
of the blessed hope and the glorious coming of my Son Jesus."

Cry Room Mission Style!

Over the past several months we have experienced an increase in families with young children at our Sunday Mass. And we love it! In fact on a recent Sunday, Dave Sommers, reported that we had seven families with more than five kids at Mass. That also means a steady stream of parents who have to take a crying infant or fidgety toddler outside so as not to disturb Mass. In the warm months they can stand outside and still see and hear Mass with little problem. But now that the windows are in, this presents a problem. Parents need a place that provides shelter and some warmth and still lets them hear Mass. And we have come up with a quick, low cost solution: a tent! But a tent with heat, and sound, a changing table, and something soft under the feet for kids to crawl on. We are working on it and it should be up soon. Hang in there Moms and Dads!

In response to requests that we make giving to the Mission easier for people who don't carry cash, we have initiated a new credit card kiosk. It is located at the foot of road to the Chapel.
All donations, large or small are appreciated and put to immediate good use!

The Mission depends entirely on donations in order to carry out our ministry. We do not receive financial support from the Archdiocese.
Please pray to see if God wants you to help support His Mission of Divine Mercy.
