Mother's Day Tea & Paint

Give mom the gift of quality time with you this year for Mother's Day with a little paint, tea, and fun 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday at the Plainfield Township Community Center! Each participant registered receives a canvas to paint on. Refreshments are provided.

NEW! Adult Sand Volleyball League

This new co-ed league for ages 18 and older takes place at Eaton Preserve. Format is 6 on 6 and requires a minimum of three females on the court at all times. Matches are held between 4 and 8 p.m. on Sundays, beginning June 9. Resident registration opens May 6. Non-resident registration opens May 13. Registration deadline is May 31.

Cheer and Dance Camps

A variety of cheer and dance camps are now open for registration.

• Themed Dance Camp - Ballet, Hip-hop, poms and tap sessions are offered for ages 4-9. Camps run July 8-11, 15-18, 22-25 and July 29-August 1.
• Mini Cheer Camp - Morning and night sessions are offered for ages 4-6 August 5-8.
• Junior Cheerleading Camp - Ages 7-9 learn sideline cheers, jumps, a choreographed dance and other cheer techniques. Camp runs morning (10-10:45AM) or night (6:30-7:15PM), August 5-8.

Great Adventures Preschool

Registration for the 2024-25 school year is now being accepted for Great Adventures Preschool! Great Adventures offers young children opportunities for social, intellectual, physical, and emotional growth through a balance of both child-led and teacher-guided play. Great Adventures offers a Finally Five class that is unique to most preschool offerings in that the prerequisite is turning 5 between September 1st and December 31st. This class runs 5 days/week (9:30 a.m. - noon) or 3 days/week (12:45-3:15 p.m.).

Mother-Son Superhero Night

Moms and sons enjoy a night of dancing, games, crafts, and hanging with an awesome superhero 6 to 8 p.m., May 17 at the Prairie Activity & Recreation Center! No onsite registration. Price is per couple. Additional child may be registered for $10.

Volleyball Camp

Learn new skills and improve existing ones at this summer volleyball camp designed to introduce players to the foundations of volleyball. With its unique combination of drills, competition and instruction, this program focuses on breaking volleyball down into different skill stations. Program is run by Cyclone Volleyball. Session 1 is June 24-27 and Session 2 is July 22-25.

World of Food Trucks

Experience cuisines from around the world with your favorite Chicagoland food trucks 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., May 18 at Bott Community Park. General admission is FREE; however, please register a free electronic ticket so we have a headcount for public works/safety and can plan accordingly.
