CAWA, which represents the automotive parts industry, announced Motorcar Parts of America, Inc. (Nasdaq: MPAA) will be the exclusive sponsor of its 2026 annual dinner gala in conjunction with the AAPEX and SEMA trade shows being held in Las Vegas, Nevada. The annual event is the highlight of the year for the Association and is dedicated to recognizing CAWA’s leadership and raising funds for the Association’s scholarship programs.
The gala will be held “to kick-off” Industry Week at the Venetian Resort & Spa on Sunday evening November 1, 2026. To register for the event click here.
“I am excited to once again have MPA sponsor the CAWA scholarship dinner. It is a privilege and a necessity to bring talented professionals to our industry. Our commitment to industry scholarships isn't charity—it's how we engineer the aftermarket we all depend on,” said Selwyn Joffe, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Motorcar Parts of America.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the CAWA Memorial Scholarship Fund which promotes quality and high standards through education within the auto care industry. These coveted scholarships are awarded to: (1) students in a curriculum related to the industry leading to a degree or certificate at an accredited college, university, or technical institute; and (2) automotive high school teachers to assure their programs remain viable and contemporary.
“We look forward to seeing our members and industry colleagues at the 2026 annual dinner gala in Las Vegas. CAWA and I am also pleased that Selwyn Joffe of Motorcar Parts of America will be the event’s exclusive sponsor and has been for the past 18 years! So, I will look forward to seeing you on November 1st at the Venetian Resort & Spa to recognize CAWA’s leadership for their commitment to the Association and to raise funds for our future student and automotive high school teacher’s scholarships”, Dan Hanson II, of Blue Streak Electronics and Chair of the CAWA Board of Directors commented. “This year CAWA awarded fourteen students and four automotive high school teacher scholarships. The students not only received a cash award from CAWA, but thanks to NAPA Tools & Equipment they also received a $1,000 tool certificate,” he continued.
