Lent Devotional

Fr. Aaron is writing a daily devotional throughout Lent. Feel free to check it out at https://lent.joy-project.org if you want to participate.

If you would like to contribute to the Easter flower fund in memory of or thanksgiving for special people in your life, you can use this link: Easter flower form.

As is our custom, these will be published in our Easter bulletin.

Palm Crosses: You are invited to help make palm crosses on Friday, March 27, at 9am. It’s fun with a breakfast treat and beverage. Melanie looks forward to seeing you.

After more than five years of faithful service, the Bishop and Deacon Stuart have discerned together that it is time for a new placement. As Deacons serve at the discretion of the Bishop to meet the needs of the wider Church, we prepare to send him forth with gratitude. We thank "Deacon Stu" for his years of ministry in our community and will host a farewell during coffee hour on March 29 (Palm Sunday). His last day with us will be Easter Sunday.

Hearing assistance during services is available. Please see ushers for details.

When e-mailing the church office, please use mtcalvary@mtcp.org. This address will go directly to the parish administrator.

OUTREACH OPPORTUNITIES

YOUTH PROGRAMS

Easter Egg Hunt: Please come celebrate with our parish family at either the 9am or 11am service on Easter morning, April 5. There will be an Egg Hunt between the services at 10:15am - it will surely be another joyous celebration!

Can bees fly in the rain?

Not without their yellow jackets!

Book Club: Will meet Sunday, April 12, after the 10am service to discuss What Happened to the Bennetts by Lisa Scottoline. Contact Linda Farrell for more information.

Men’s Breakfast Group 2025-2026

Mt Calvary Men’s Breakfast Group meets the second Saturday of every month from October through May. We meet at the church and start at 8:30 and end at 9:30. Coffee and breakfast bites are available. Our meetings are a combination of prayer, sharing about ourselves and a discussion of "Secrets in the Dark”" by Frederick Buechiner. It is a celebrated collection of sermons, essays and talks spanning the author’s career, revealing his deep engagement with themes of faith, doubt and personal experience.

You may choose to buy the book, but it is not necessary as our group leaders will introduce the chapter(s) and then open it up for discussion. It’s a great opportunity to get to know other men at Mt Calvary and to have some God centered dialogue with other men. We welcome new members! For questions, contact Dean Wharton at 717-329-1200.

We continue to welcome everyone to our Women's Study Group! Our discussions have been worth the time to get together, as we always leave with a new thought, a different understanding, a spiritual boost, or an application to our lives from the readings as well as the conversation among us. If you haven't been coming, we welcome you always! Each and every time! Whether you have read the book or not. We meet on the second and fourth Wednesday evenings of the month from 6:45 to 8:00 in the Undercroft.

Our next meeting on March 25 will be our BYOSS time! "Bring Your Own Special Something"!  This will be our break between books. That is when each of us brings a meaningful something special to us to share, and if it pertains to Lent, all the more welcome. A piece of music, a painting, a book. a reading, a quote, a photograph, a story or memory...

Our next book will be A Tree Full of Angels by Macrina Wiederkehr, which we will begin discussing on April 8 . Please read the first chapter.

We hope to see you! Questions? Please call Marcia Wharton, 717-728-6322
