MOUNT HOPE KIDS ADVENTURE | June 25th, 2020
Let's shake up the weekend by virtually coming together for some friendly competition. Grab your whole family and join us for a night full of fun and laughter! In order to participate, you'll need paper and a pen, a few common household items, as well as your smart and creative minds! Please join us using the zoom information below.  Can't wait to "see" you Friday night! It's going to be a great time!

Virtual MHKA Classes

We are taking a two week break from our MHKA Zoom sessions. We will resume the week of July 6th for our summer session.
No sessions tomorrow (6/26) or next week (7/3).

In order to best meet the needs of your family during the summer months, please take the survey below to help us accommodate your family's schedule.
THIS WEEK'S BIBLE VIDEO & ACTIVITIES
TODDLER/PRESCHOOL CRAFT & ACTIVITIES
Help your child create these cool binoculars with objects you have right at home! You'll need two toilet paper rolls, and some decorating materials (markers, paint, stickers, etc). Then have your child take their binoculars outside or in the car to play "I Spy", spying all the different people that you can tell about Jesus!

Most young kids love making pretend phone calls! Give your child a phone and have them practice "calling" friends and family, to tell them how much Jesus loves them! (If you want, let them actually call someone they know!)
ELEMENTARY ACTIVITIES
Use this virtual game to continue practicing this month's memory verse! And here is a cool activity to try after you watch Mrs. D'Agostino's demonstration on Sunday!

In addition to the activities, here are some discussion questions to help you dive deeper into the Bible lesson and a 4-day devotional to use with your children throughout the week. This is a great way to model doing daily devotions and encourage healthy spiritual habits within your home.
WEEKLY FAMILY CHALLENGE
Please note that deadlines for submission have changed. Note the time changes below.

GAME WEEK! Gather your family and play a game together! Maybe you play a board game or a card game, an outdoor sport, like soccer or baseball, or you make up your own game! Take a selfie of your family playing and email it to  Donna Favini or  Melissa D'Agostino by FRIDAY MORNING AT 8AM.

NEXT WEEK

Let's celebrate our country's birthday with the colors red, white and blue! Maybe it's something you make with food, a craft, or color a picture. Maybe you create some DIY 4th of July decor for your home or it could be a picture of yourself wearing our nation's colors! Whatever you choose, make sure you take a picture and email it  Donna Favini or  Melissa D'Agostino by
FRIDAY MORNING AT 8AM.

We apologize for the technical difficulties during the week of our "Chalk Art Challenge". We've included the slideshow below for those who missed it.
SUMMER PLANS

Backyard Bash
We are so sad that we won't be able to host Kids Adventure Week this year, but have come up with a wonderful alternative that we are excited about. Be on the look-out for more details about our Backyard Bash coming to a neighborhood near you!

Summer Zoom Sessions
We recognize that families are transitioning from the school year structure to a more relaxed summer schedule. However, we'd love to continue our Zoom sessions with the kids. While the lesson taught is valuable, we value the time we get to connect with one another even more. We know by connecting virtually each week, the transition back into our buildings will be that much easier for your kids. If haven't already, please help us by completing this survey.
PARENT RESOURCES
The pandemic has caused many of us to feel uncertain about our summer plans. However, I encourage you to try to embrace this season. This may be the only summer that you have with your kids at home every day. Embrace this unhurried, unscheduled season and try filling it with backyard games and intentional family bonding. Below are a few ideas that can help fill your days with purposeful activities.
