MONTHLY VERSE:For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord. Jeremiah 29:11
THIS WEEK'S PARENT CUE:
What if this year our kids knew they were good enough to be who they actually are, not some imagined or idealistic version of themselves?
TRY THIS: Cuddle with your child this week and pray, "Dear God, thank You for planning good things for us to do. Help us to look for the good, even when bad things are happening. You always have something good planned for us to do! We love You, God. In Jesus' name. Amen."
CRAFT/ACTIVITY: Print the activity page template . Have your child color the ice cream sundae, and draw a cherry on top! They can use some glue and add real sprinkles if they want! As they work, say this "This ice cream sundae is made up of different parts and each part works together to make a delicious dessert! This is just like Joseph. His story is made up of lots of different parts, but each part of his story worked together to form God's big plan for his life!"
ELEMENTARY FOLLOW-UP ACTIVITIES

PARENT CUE: If you want your kid to be a good friend, teach them to be the friend they want to find.
TRY THIS:At mealtime tonight, ask your child, "Who is your best friend? Why do you think you're such good friends?" Then give them a chance to hear from you! Tell them about your best friend when you were little, how you met them and what made you such good friends. Making time to ask questions like these at mealtime can help establish routines and rhythm for your family to have conversations about lots of topics. For more dinner time questions, click here.
