It's been a busy week at Mount Hope Church as we respond to the spread of the COVID-19 virus and adjust to this constantly changing landscape. This is an unprecedented time in our world as each of us tries to figure out how to live faithfully as Christians while being responsible and healthy. During this season, it is important that we commit ourselves to trusting that God is in control, despite our circumstances. Remember, "God has not given us a spirit of fear; but of power, and love, and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7)

As you are aware, we decided that instead of gathering together in-person for regular services, we'll come together online exclusively. Services will be held online on Sundays at 10am at of now, we will be meeting online indefinitely!

While our circumstances may be a little different, we will join as a community to worship together in song, hear from our Pastors, continue learning what God has to teach us in our series in the book of Judges, pray, and respond together.

Along with our in-person Sunday Services, all other church events and ministries have been postponed until further notice. While COVID-19 has had significant global impact, we operate from a place of faith and not of fear-but we also walk in wisdom. Our Pastoral team will continue to connect with and minister to you. Tomorrow, during our service, we will have some exciting updates on how we plan to do that and how you can be involved. So please do not miss it!

If you have been impacted by the COVID-19 virus, please know that we are here for you. Please click on the button below to let us know how we can serve you or if you would like to help meet the needs of others. More information about opportunities to help will continue to be provided so we can share the love of Christ with those in need.
While we encourage you to gather your whole family together to watch the service, we understand that this is not ideal for young children.  To that end, we've put together some alternative solutions for your young ones.  Below are some resources that you can use with your preschool and elementary children. Remember to take the time to teach your kids that church is not a building; church is when Christ's children assemble together to worship Him. Church can be right in your own home!

This week's craft also serves as a fun game for the kids! Click here for step-by-step instructions on how to guide your children through this activity.

After watching the elementary video, try this activity to dig deeper into the word of God.

Here's what you'll need:
  • Pens/pencils
  • Print the activity page. Cut on the dotted lines, and give each participant one card. (Or you can just use a blank piece of paper for each participant.)
  • Use this instructional page for guidance

In addition to the activity, here is a  devotional  to use with your children throughout the week. It is a 4-day devotional with a different scripture to discuss each day. This is a great way to help model doing daily devotions and encourage healthy spiritual habits within your home.

Print this  coloring page  to help remember this week's story of the Lost Son.

Our theme this month for our elementary aged kids is: DIY. We have a friendly competition for you! The family who builds the best fort with random objects you find around the house will win a prize! Post pictures of your fort on instagram and tag both  @MountHopeCC and @MtHopeBelmont for a chance to win.

Winners will be announced next week (March 29) during our live online stream !
We will continue to monitor the situation week by week and will keep you updated. We hope to resume ministry at our locations as soon as we are able. You can stay in touch with Mount Hope Church by visiting our COVID-19 Update Page.

As always, please do not hesitate to contact us by replying to this email if you have any questions.
