We hope you are keeping well and staying healthy.  As you are aware, we have decided that instead of gathering together in-person for regular services, we'll come together online exclusively. Services will be held online on Sundays at 10am at  mounthope.org/live As of now, we will be meeting online for the foreseeable future.
While we encourage you to gather your whole family together to watch the service, we understand that this is not ideal for young children.  To that end, we've put together some alternative solutions for your young ones.  Below are some resources that you can use with your preschool and elementary children. Remember to take the time to teach your kids that church is not a building; church is when Christ's children assemble together to worship Him. Church can be right in your own home!

This week, the preschool children will hear the story of the Prodigal Son. Here is an interactive craft that helps retell this important story and detailed instructions on how to make this craft.

Now that the weather is warmer, we can take some of our church activities outside!  Here is a fun hopscotch game that you can play with your kids outdoors. All you need is some sidewalk chalk!

This week, the elementary kids can play this game to help them memorize this month's memory verse. You just need paper, something to write with, and a pair of scissors!

In addition to the activities, here is a  devotional  to use with your children throughout the week. It is a 4-day devotional with a different scripture to discuss each day. This is a great way to help model doing daily devotions and encourage healthy spiritual habits within your home.
THIS WEEK  (5/10 - 5/16)
Go outside and find something that God created. Then have someone snap a picture of you with it and email it  Donna Favini  or  Melissa D'Agostino . We'll have a beautiful slideshow filled with God's creations during our live stream  service tomorrow!

Next Week (5/17- 5/23)
Next week, your challenge goes along with our elementary kids' theme of Determination! As you go about your week, try to find ways that you can practice determination.  Have someone snap a photo of you doing something that is NEW or HARD for you. Maybe it's a picture of you riding your bike with no training wheels. Or trying out a new game, puzzle, or sport that has intimidated you in the past. Maybe it's attempting that tricky art project or school assignment that you've been putting off.  Next week, during our live stream, we'll celebrate your boldness and determination together!
