Farmers Market 2021 Season
Mark your calendars for the opening of the 2021 Mount Pleasant Farmers Market on April 6 at 3:30 p.m. at Moultrie Middle School. The weekly market features vendors selling local farm-fresh produce, meats, sauces, baked goods, and other specialty foods, as well as prepared food vendors for those looking for a unique meal. The market is open every Tuesday from April – September from 3:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Blessing of the Fleet & Seafood Festival
The 33rd Annual Blessing of the Fleet & Seafood Festival is being held on April 25 at Memorial Waterfront Park from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The festival pays tribute to Mount Pleasant’s local shrimping and fishing industry, offering a boat parade, live music, craft show, and lots of free activities with the picturesque Ravenel Bridge and Charleston Harbor for a backdrop.
Improved ISO Score
The Building Division within the Mount Pleasant Engineering and Development Services Department recently received an improved score from Insurance Services Office, Inc. (ISO) for the Building Code Effectiveness Grading Schedule, gaining one full point over the past year. The department has improved its score to 4 for residential and 3 for commercial.
Emergency Alerts
This month the Town of Mount Pleasant was threatened by severe thunderstorms with the potential to create damaging winds, hail, and tornadoes. To prepare residents, we sent out an emergency alert prior to the storm's arrival, warning of potential impacts and offering guidance on steps to take to remain safe. Thankfully, the storm weakened and did not cause significant damage to the Town. To receive future alerts, sign up for emergency alerts for the Town of Mount Pleasant via our Alert Center.

Dental Care at Mill Creek
Dr. David Swee, together with Mount Pleasant Mayor Will Haynie and Council Member Kathy Landing, along with Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce Director of Development Rebecca Imholz, attended the grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 5 for Dental Care at Mill Creek, located at 2138 Highway 41.
Nellie & Lo Boutique
Co-owners Pam White and Taylor White Socci, together with Mount Pleasant Mayor Will Haynie, Council Members Kathy Landing, and Howard Chapman, along with Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce members Chris Staubes, Benjamin Toy, and Rebecca Imholz, attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 15 for Nellie & Lo, located at 976 Houston Northcutt Blvd. Suite B.
RISE: CrossFit & Total Body Wellness
Co-owner Erin DiNicola, together with Mount Pleasant Council Member Howard Chapman and Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce Member Rebecca Imholz, attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 19 for RISE: CrossFit & Total Body Wellness, located at 620 Long Point Road Unit M. 
Carolina Park Family Dentistry
Doctor Andrew Bellebaum and his wife Beth, together with Mount Pleasant Town Council Member Kathy Landing, along with Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce Vice President Michael Cochran and Membership Committee Chair Tammy Becker, attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 26 for Carolina Park Family Dentistry, located at 3520 Park Avenue Blvd.
