CUB DAY CAMP

By Marie White

Are you ready for some adventurous fun with your Cub Scout friends!  Join the "Cub Scout Passport to Adventure" this summer for a day camp filled with fun and discovery! Scouts will spend the week building memories, experiencing cool hands-on STEM activities, and enjoying the outdoors.

NEW YOUTH PROTECTION

True youth protection can be achieved only through the focused commitment of everyone in Scouting. It is the mission of Youth Protection volunteers and professionals to work within the Boy Scouts of America to maintain a culture of Youth Protection awareness and safety at the national, regional, area, council, district, and unit levels.

TED CARPENTER GETS PEILA

Council President Mary Jo Brentari and Council Properties VP Scott Suchan presented the first President's Excellence in Leadership Award to Ted Carpenter at the March Executive Board meeting.  Ted has served faithfully on the Executive Board and on the Properties Committee for many years.  He is a year-round regular worker at Fire Mountain Scout Camp, organizing work parties and attending to hundreds of needs, large and small.  He also serves regularly at the Everett Scout Service Center, taking care of recycling and other tasks and bringing tasty things to improve staff morale and provide a little energy boost.

Congratulations to Ted for this well-deserved recognition!  Camp would certainly not be the same without him.

CAMP PROPERTIES REPORT

Check out the roof raising on the new staff building at Fire Mountain Scout Camp.  The beams we are putting up are for the covered breezeway between the staff core building and the new shower house/laundry building.
