The replacement of the light fixtures at the Mountain Shadows Tennis Courts will begin on Monday, August 4, 2025, and is scheduled to be completed on Monday, September 15th. During this time, the Mountain Shadows Tennis Courts, Walking Path, Shuffleboard court area, and Horseshoe Pit area will be CLOSED. Tennis Courts at Desert Vista and Pinnacle will be Open. Walking Track at Pinnacle (around the Softball Field) will be open.

The Board of Directors approved the recommendation from the Fitness Committee and the Common Areas Properties Committee from their May meetings to remove the existing fourteen (14) pole lights and the installation of fourteen (14) new pole lights around the Mountain Shadows Fitness Center Walking Track.

The poles supporting the light fixtures are beginning to deteriorate at the base due to 35 years of accumulated landscaping and soil buildup over the original concrete foundation. This prolonged exposure to moisture and debris has led to rot, compromising their stability. As part of the replacement process, the new poles must be installed in compliance with current city and state building codes to ensure long-term stability and safety.
