A week of worship, work, and play on the Cumberland Plateau!
  • Who? Any rising 7th-12th graders and any adults!
  • What? A week of worship, work, and play on the Cumberland Plateuau!
  • When? We will be attending Week 7 again: July 19-25!
  • Where? Either Baker Mountain or Cumberland Pines campsite (we will receive our assignment in the spring.)
  • Why? To grow in community with Christ, our youth group, other Christians from across the country, and our neighbors living in the poorest counties in Tennessee.

Mountain T.O.P. (Tennessee Outreach Project) is an organization dedicated to helping meet the physical, spiritual, social, and emotional needs of people living in the Cumberland Plateau region through community and faith-based relationships. Participants stay in modest cabins for a week alongside other church groups from various denominations. Everyone chooses to serve by participating in home repair projects or a day camp for the week.
Day Camp
During the summer, Mountain TOP runs a day camp that serves local children from the ages of 6 to 11. Participants will have the opportunity to help children learn about the environment, community service, health and local entrepreneurship. You must be a rising 9th grader or older to do Day Camp.
Service Projects
Participants complete home repair projects to improve the safety and sustainability of the homes. These may include building porches or wheelchair ramps, painting, roofing, siding, or yard work – each project resulting from an expressed need.
Costs
Cost for a St. Paul's youth: $275
Cost for non-member youth: $405
Cost for adult chaperone: $0

Payment schedule:
  • $45 deposit due by December 15
  • $115 due by February 15
  • $115 due by April 15

As always, please do not let the cost keep you from attending Mountain T.O.P.! Scholarships are available upon request.
Requirements
In order to cover costs (vehicle rentals, chaperones, t-shirts, supplies, etc.), offer scholarships, and lower the cost for all St. Paul's youth to attend we do a series of fundraising events throughout the year. We ask that all participants participate in at least 2 of the 4 fundraisers.

All youth who sign up for Mountain T.O.P. are required to attend a mandatory training April 17-18 as well as the annual Men's BBQ on July 25 . Please understand that you are committing to these two events in addition to the week of Mountain T.O.P. itself when you register. The Men of St. Paul's help with our Pancake Supper and provide MTOP scholarships each year, so we show our appreciation by serving at the BBQ.
Registration
Click here to register a youth. A $45 deposit is due by December 15. All checks should be made out to St. Paul's with "Mountain T.O.P." in the memo.
Interested in being a chaperone?
This week would not be possible without our wonderful adult volunteers! St. Paul's covers the costs for all of our adults to attend as a way to say thank you for giving a week to support this ministry.

Click here to register an adult.

Please note that adults above the age of 25 will be responsible for a YRG (small group of 6-8 youth from different churches) and will be the driver of that group's van. Vans range in size from 7 to 15 passengers.
