Understanding Islam // Three- part speaker series

New Downtown Valet Assist Parking

The City of Mountain View launched a free one-year downtown valet assist parking pilot program at Parking Lot 11 (Villa Street at Franklin Street). The City hired a parking management company (Parking Company of America) to provide the valet service.  The program stations valet attendants in Parking Lot 11 to assist vehicles when parking and/or exiting the parking lot. Drivers using the program will release their vehicle and vehicle keys to allow attendants to move vehicles when needed. The program is available for any driver parking in downtown Mountain View during the following days and hours:
·        Days: Thursday through Sunday
·        Lunch Hours: 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
·        Dinner Hours: 5:00 pm to 12:00 midnight
·        Cost: Free

Citizen Task Force Seeks to Curb Emissions

Last year the City Council appointed 33 members to an Environmental Sustainability Task Force and asked it to recommend ways that the community could dramatically cut its emissions of greenhouse gasses. The Task Force has met monthly and expects to present its recommendations to the Council in June. Its meetings are open to the public, and take place on the second floor of City Hall in either the Council Chambers or the Plaza Conference Room. Dates of upcoming meetings are: April 5, May 3, May 17, May 24 and June 7. All meetings start at 6:30 PM.
