The committee meets on the 2nd Wednesday of every month. 12:00pm – 1:30pm at the Mountain View Chamber.

Mountain View Minimum Wage Rate Change for 2019
Beginning January 1, 2019, employers who are subject to the Mountain View Business License Tax OR who maintain a facility in Mountain View must pay to each employee who performs at least two (2) hours of work per week in Mountain View, minimum wages not less than $15.65 per hour. Read More
I Love Mountain View: Seniors Helping Seniors
‘Seniors Helping Seniors’ is a new program that the Mountain View Day Worker Center just launched. The project was made possible by a partnership with the Mountain View Kiwanis Club. 

I spoke with María Marroquín, the Executive Director of the Center, today and she explained how the project started. She said that since “we know that there are senior citizens in the community who are living on only their social security and they need help with small projects” and some of her workers, the older ones, are sometimes passed over as employers stop by the Center to pick up the younger workers.
