February 13, 2022
Dear students, faculty, and staff,
I am deeply saddened to inform you that Jordan Robinson, a student on our Pleasantville Campus, passed away early this morning.

Jordan was a sophomore in the Lubin School of Business, a proud brother of Alpha Phi Alpha, and involved with many student organizations, including the Black Student Union and Students of Caribbean Awareness. He was a beloved son and brother. He was a former member of our Setters football team. He was an aspiring entrepreneur who owned his own design business. And he was a supportive friend and classmate and a valued member of our Pace family.

This tragic loss reminds us of the importance of community. We have resources available for support, and I encourage you to reach out if you are in need. Students may contact the Counseling Center (information here) or the Dean for Students Office (information here), which are open Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. After hours, Pace Security can connect you to a counselor on call (in Pleasantville: (914) 773-3400; in New York City: (212) 346-1800; at Haub Law: (914) 422-4300).

Faculty will soon receive guidance from the Provost’s Office for supporting students during this time. We will postpone the State of the University speech scheduled for tomorrow and provide more information at a later date.

Our community is in mourning. Please join me in sending all our most heartfelt sympathies and condolences to Jordan’s family and friends at this extraordinarily difficult time.

We will share details on funeral or memorial plans when they become available.
Sincerely,
Marvin Krislov
President
