✨ ANNOUNCING

Guided Transportation Tours For Your Staff

Employers can help their workforce by introducing them to transportation programs, downtown infrastructure, and low-cost commuting. Move Minneapolis provides Try it Tours - a free, educational, “hands-on” demonstration of commuting options. Each of the four guided, hour-long tours explores smart and sustainable ways to navigate the city:

  1. Downtown Group Bike Rides – Ride together through safe and comfortable  downtown bike lanes & routes.
  2. Walking Tours of Infrastructure – Discover the transportation infrastructure that keeps Minneapolis moving.
  3. Transit Tours – Not been on a bus or train in 20 years? Hop on! We’ll show you how to plan your trip and take a ride.
  4. ABC Ramps Mobility Hub Facilities Tour – See where transit, carpooling, car-share, biking, and discount flex-parking all converge together in one facility.

Schedule a group from your workplace/organization for a free transportation tour, guided by experts. Recommended group sizes are 10 – 30 participants depending upon the tour.

Featured Try It Tour: ABC Ramps Mobility Hub Facilities Tour

The ABC Ramps were built in 1989 to support lowering congestion and improving air quality by reducing single occupancy vehicle trips into downtown Minneapolis.

In 2019, the ABC Ramps became the ABC Ramps Mobility Hub to reflect the multi-modal transportation options that are available, including secure bike parking, EV charging, car-sharing, local and regional bus service, light rail transit, commuter rail and carpools/vanpools.

Move Minneapolis features the ABC Ramps Mobility Hub as one of the Try It Tours. Take an hour-long guided tour of the facilities to see of the network of transportation options all come together to serve downtown commuters and visitors!

🚨 METRO B Line BRT Opening June 14 🚨

Faster Transit Coming to Lake St & Marshall Ave

Big changes are coming to Lake Street and Marshall Ave. Starting June 14, 2025, Route #21 will be replaced with the METRO B Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT). The B Line will run between Union Depot Station in St. Paul and Lake Street and France Avenue, at the Minneapolis-St. Louis Park border. With bus shelters that feature real-time monitors, pre-board payment, and a number of “bus only” lanes, trip times will be about 20% faster than the existing Route 21.

📍 Join the Grand Opening celebration for the ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 14 at the Union Depot in St Paul. Hop on the B Line for free rides the rest of the day.

The celebration continues from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m at Union Depot (St. Paul) and Midtown Global Market (Lake St. and Chicago Ave, Minneapolis).
