Move United is hiring!
Would you enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic nonprofit with the opportunity to make an extraordinary difference?

Move United seeks a highly motivated Competition Manager (Admin) ready to manage the competitive programs of Move United. This includes all activities conducted under the competition program, including Junior Nationals, sanctioned competitions, and international competition through the International Wheelchair and Amputee Sport Federation (IWAS). In addition, the Competition Manager will support the Competition Director to further the Move United competition strategy.

SafeSport Launches New Platform
The U.S. Center for SafeSport is transitioning their training library to a new online learning management system.

This platform will feature an enhanced user and administrator experience. It will also allow individuals to have affiliations with multiple organizations.

Get in the Game with Wheelchair Football
The USA Wheelchair Football League is growing! Applications are now open for interested expansion teams. USA Wheelchair Football League teams impact the lives of athletes with disabilities by helping them to get off the sidelines, get in the game, and build skills like perseverance, teamwork, goal setting and fitness.
 
Submit your team’s interest in joining the USA Wheelchair Football League by using the interest form at usawfl.org. All applications received by April 14 will be considered for inclusion in the League for competition in the 2021 season. 

American Trails: Trail Stewardship Partner Funding Available
The National Wilderness Stewardship Alliance is pleased to announce the 4th round of the National Forest System Trail Stewardship Partnership Funding through the financial assistance of the USDA Forest Service for trail maintenance on National Forest System trails for the 2021 season - May 2021 through December 2021.

Shifting Gears United (Tequesta FL)

Central Florida Dreamplex (Orlando FL)
The Central Florida Dreamplex and OCA (Opportunity, Community, Ability Inc.) are excited to announce they'll be teaming up to serve the Orlando community! They plan to move operations to a new location in late May/early June of this year. This shared space will allow for continued program growth for both organizations, as well as numerous collaborative opportunities with each other and with members of the Orlando community.

Team River Runner (Rockville MD)
Team River Runner recently created Kayakers for Good (KFG). Through this program, a team of veterans regularly call other veterans to offer support, coinnections, resources. So far, KFG has supported close to 100 different veterans, and has a goal of reaching closer to 1,000.

Telluride Adaptive Sports (Telluride CO)
Shout out to Telluirde Adaptive in The Burton Blog on Creating Custom Gear, as an early partner in rider Holly Palmer's quest for a gear set up that met her needs.

Jessie Cloy
COMPETITIONS MANAGER - OPERATIONS
Jessica joined the Move United team in 2020 as the Competition Manager – Operations. She regularly interacts with Move United Member Organizations that host our Sanctioned Competitions. Jessica has a B.S. in Kinesiology and M.S. in Community Health both from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. She is a four-time Paralympian in track and field. She currently resides in Georgia with her two daughters and husband and when not at work she is often driving her kiddos from one activity to the next!
