Move United Education Conference

The 2023 Move United Education Conference will be held May 15-17 in Louisville, KY, focusing on a theme of “Disability Inclusion in Sport: Transforming Intent to Action.”


Upcoming Important Dates:

  • Scholarship application goes live February 6th
  • Registration opens early March
  • Poster session applications open through March 1st
  • Vendor table application open through March 1st

Want a free flight to the 2023 The Hartford Ski Spectacular?

Thousands of instructors have volunteered during this week-long event to teach in the Learn to Ski and Snowboard Program and many have expressed interested in attending. We are evaluating this program and want to hear from you! Please complete this brief survey by February 17, 2023, for your chance to be entered into a random drawing for a flight (value up to $350) to the 2023 The Hartford Ski Spectacular.

Register now for Adaptive Academy 2023 in Big Sky, Montana. New this year, you can choose between a 5-day and 3-day package during registration.


Deadlines: Registration ends March 31, 2023 OR when the event is at capacity. Rates increase $200 on February 1, 2023.

MEET MOVE UNITED

Julia Ray

Programs Director

Julia is originally from the United Kingdom, which is where she trained and worked in a variety of sports industries including the development of inclusive sports for people with disabilities. In 2003, Julia joined Move United in the Washington DC area. . It is her personal and professional mission to be an ally for people with disabilities to have an equal opportunity to participate in sports and recreation.


Today, Julia oversees Move United programs, including Military and Veteran programming, training and education, youth programs and events. She is a certified gymnastics coach, SCUBA diver and collectively has over 20 years’ experience in the development and expansion of sports programs for people with disabilities. Julia received a B.S. (HONS) in Sports Administration and Management from Nottingham Trent University. She lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and two daughters.
