MEET MOVE UNITED

Tim Brown

A native of San Antonio, Texas, Tim discovered adaptive sports while rehabilitating at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland from wounds incurred in Afghanistan, when he participated in The Hartford Ski Spectacular in 2011. Shortly thereafter, he was introduced to the sport of handcycling, and a two-day ride from Houston to Austin firmly set the hook. Following his retirement from the Marine Corps in 2014, Tim studied Management and Marketing at Georgetown, where he served as President of Georgetown University Student Veterans Association before graduating cum laude. Tim joined the Move United team in 2020 as a Marketing & Communications Intern, tasked with assisting the Marketing team with social media, graphics, and media editing, while also serving as Move United’s in-house photographer.
