Move United is excited to announce the launch of a brand new Learning Management System (LMS). The education HUB elevates the way the adaptive sports industry receives and retains fundamental knowledge to suport the community and allows Move United to deliver critical knoweldge to its membership network and partners at any time, on any device - empowering adaptive sport professionals to perform their best, increase expertise and skill, and deepen the commitment and contribution to our industry.

Move United’s Inclusive Playbook is a FREE 24-page educational workbook designed to teach children with and without disabilities about inclusion and disability awareness. It’s filled with activities for kids in Pre-K through 6th Grade, incorporating adaptive sports to raise their awareness and help them become allies. Join the movement and access the Inclusive Playbook, as well as an 8-lesson plan curriculum and additional teaching tools at hub.moveunitedsport.org

As an existing Move United member you will have access with your staff email. Please follow "forgot password" prompts as needed or reach out to us for assistance. We also encourage your additional staff members, professionals, friends and family to create their own profiles to open this freely accessible platform.

MEMBER RENEWALS SENT

Member Renewals have been sent to the primary contact of each member organization. Renewal must be completed by September 28th in order to remain in good standing and access membership benefits. Membership renewal includes the following:

Member Dues

Affiliates $500, Chapters $250, Adaptive Clubs $200, Inclusive Clubs $150, Event Partners $50

Member Agreement

Outlines the details of membership, including what members can expect from Move United, and what we expect from members to be in good standing

Member Survey

Measures the network’s impact across the country, which helps us in leveraging future funding, sponsorships, and developing policy, etc.

ADAPTIVE EQUIPMENT GRANT OPPORTUNITY

Move United, in partnership with The Hartford, is empowering youth and adults with disabilities to achieve amazing things by making adaptive equipment and sports more accessible.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Partners are eligible to receive $30,000 to $50,000 with the primary purpose of supplying new inventory of adaptive equipment to your community and introducing new youth and adults with disabilities to adaptive sports.

This opportunity is open to eligible Move United member organizations that have not received The Harford Equipment Grant in the last 5 years. Priority will be given to new applicants. If member organization has received this grant 5 or more years ago, the grant application must be for sport equipment not previously funded by this grant.

The Gaylord Wolfpack – Connecticut’s only sled hockey team – won the 2023 Adult Tier II Championship at the USA Hockey Disabled Hockey Festival in St. Louis, Missouri. The 11 athletes of the Gaylord Wolfpack bested teams from Illinois, North Dakota, North Carolina, Texas, California, and Missouri before their hard-fought final match against New Hampshire on Sunday that brought the National Championship banner home to the Gaylord Sports Association!

Dave Simonson began with Move United in 2010 and focuses on development and sponsor relations. He has worked in both the nonprofit and private sectors, and also served for eight years in the U.S. Air Force. He has been involved in adaptive sports for more than ten years.
