The Move United Individual Member Network includes athletes, medical providers, parents, family members, coaches, teachers, researchers, students and more. It is designed to enhance and foster the continued growth of adaptive sports in the U.S. and internationally by providing a space for community building and continued education. 

 

We are offering both a FREE and paid membership ($75 annually) option. Move United Member organization contacts that sign up for a free membership between November 1-15 will be entered to win a free premium membership for 1 year. There will be 5 winners!

2025 Education Conference Call for Host Partner

Move United is focused on acquiring a strong host city and partner to deliver an outstanding conference for sport professionals, sport providers, athletes, and the general public. We are looking to develop a partnership with an organization with expertise in conference production that is well rooted in the community and has sophisticated, and has accessible venues and hotel property(s) both indoors and outdoors.

2024 Education Conference Call for Presenters

Expanding Access to Sport

Applications are open!


Join Move United for its annual Education Conference in Phoenix, AZ, April 22-24 2024, hosted in collaboration with Ability360 Sports & Fitness Center. Apply to present a session, interactive workshop, or research poster. Content will be offered on nonprofit management, sport specific instruction, and inclusion in schools and universities and other leading industry topics.

Jessica Smith (they/them) is a corporate social responsibility professional. They are a lifelong student of social change with an appreciation for all the stakeholders needed to make progress. From organizing grassroots efforts in an under-resourced school district on the Dominican-Haitian border to implementing trust-based grantmaking practices for the corporate foundation of a multi-billion dollar company, their commitment to creating equitable change ripples out into every aspect of their work.

FUNDING OPPORTUNITY


The US Department of Transportation's Thriving Communities Program (TCP) aims to ensure that disadvantaged communities have the technical tools and organizational capacity to compete for federal aid. DOT is now accepting applications for its fiscal year (FY) 2023 Thriving Communities Program (TCP). 


Interested applicants must identify community partners and together submit a letter of interest by 4:59 PM (ET) on November 15, 2023.

MEET MOVE UNITED

Karalyn Stott

Senior Program Manager

Karalyn has worked with Move United since 2010, working with chapters to grow sports opportunities for people with disabilities through the Move United Warfighters and instructor education programs. She transitioned to her current role in sport development in 2019. Karalyn earned her undergraduate degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Iowa, and her Master’s in Sports Industry Management from Georgetown University. A native Iowan, Karalyn spends her Saturday’s in the fall watching Hawkeye football. She also enjoys running, Grand Slam tennis, and adventure traveling.
