Move With The Cloud!!! 3/12/25
Proverbs 16:9 (KJV)
9 A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.
Jeremiah 10:23 (KJV)
23 O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.
Last week I asked the question, “WHERE WOULD I BE?”
The next question, logically speaking, is “WHERE WILL I GO???”
See above Scripture.
For us, the child of the Almighty God-THANK GOD-is easily answered:
Psalm 37:23-24 (KJV)
23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
BUT................WE most often know NOT the answer to “WHERE WILL I GO???”

I, personally, have lived this way most of my life! As a Pastor it DAILY seems like that whatever I plan “OFTEN GOES ASTRAY!!!”
I often think of my beloved friend's honest and blunt PRAYER:
“Lord, I am AVAILABLE today IF You need me or have ANYTHING for me to do!
If not, I am going shopping!!!!” BIG SMILE!! CAN I GET AN AMEN????
And more often than not, God does not any specific task or duty that HE-THE LORD OF ALL-needs us to do.
And on such days that God does not give implicit and detailed direction WE/YOU AND ME-must CHILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go for a pleasant walk, go fishing, watch a movie, take the kids to the park, TAKE A MUCH NEEDED NAP-WOW-maybe even do something/eat something fun and delicious.................................
WE are not burdened with the saving of mankind!! It is not up to you to save the world, evangelize the world, supply the world.
There are only 24 hours in a day and seven days in a week. If one fails to accomplish whatever goals set out for that day, there is always tomorrow......... WE HOPE AND TRUST...................
And, please trust me, God know our weakness and humanity!!!

14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
John 2:24-25 (KJV)
24 But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men,
25 And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.
God is NOT dependent on YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
God is the VINE-WE are mere BRANCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
John 15:5 (KJV)
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
TODAY/DAILY WE must learn to TRUST!!!
My beloved son Josh reminded me this past week of :the 40 year long journey of God's people-the children of Israel:
Numbers 9:15-23 (KJV)
15 And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony: and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until the morning.
16 So it was alway: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.
17 And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the children of Israel journeyed: and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel pitched their tents.
18 At the commandment of the LORD the children of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of the LORD they pitched: as long as the cloud abode upon the tabernacle they rested in their tents.
19 And when the cloud tarried long upon the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept the charge of the LORD, and journeyed not.
20 And so it was, when the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle; according to the commandment of the LORD they abode in their tents, and according to the commandment of the LORD they journeyed.
21 And so it was, when the cloud abode from even unto the morning, and that the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they journeyed: whether it was by day or by night that the cloud was taken up, they journeyed.
22 Or whether it were two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, remaining thereon, the children of Israel abode in their tents, and journeyed not: but when it was taken up, they journeyed.
23 At the commandment of the LORD they rested in the tents, and at the commandment of the LORD they journeyed: they kept the charge of the LORD, at the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
They-AND us were commanded to “follow the cloud/fire!”
IF the cloud or fire MOVED-THEY MOVED!!
IF the cloud/fire STAYED-THEY STAYED!!
But here is the crux of the matter:
Numbers 9:22 (KJV)
22 Or whether it were two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, remaining thereon, the children of Israel abode in their tents, and journeyed not: but when it was taken up, they journeyed.
Can you imagine??? They/WE sit and do little for “two days, or a month, or a year???”
Do you think they got bored?? Restless?? Confused?? Discouraged????????
Then, without warning, the cloud/fire moved.
Perhaps they were at the beach sunning themselves?? Perhaps they had just planted a crop??? Were building a new house????
As an old song I used to play and sing, “MOVE WITH THE CLOUD,” WE must also learn to MOVE WITH THE CLOUD............................. AND
BE STILL when the cloud/fire sits steady!!!!!!!
Psalm 46:10 (KJV)
10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
PLEASE remember today that God does not need anything!! He and HE ALONE is God-not you!!!
AMEN AND AMEN!!!
